Former NBA player Jerry Stackhouse says he will meet with Phil Jackson to talk about a possible position in the Knicks organization.

Jackson said on "The Anthony Donahue Show" on Monday night that he expected to meet with Jackson this week. He said he wasn't sure if Jackson would offer him a job.

Stackhouse, an 18-year veteran who last played in 2012-13, expressed an interest in coaching during his interview with Donahue.

"I'd love to coach. The pro level is where I think I'd be best," Stackhouse said. "I know what I didn't want to play against so I think I'm a better defensive coach than an offensive coach."

Stackhouse, 39, spent 18 years in the NBA. It's looking like a 90's-basketball-heavy office in MSG with Jackson in charge. Steve Kerr is widely expected to be head coach, provided he doesn't take the Warriors job.
