Mark Jackson is returning to ESPN and will be back in the booth on Sunday for the start of the Eastern Conference finals, the network announced on Saturday:
Mama, there goes that man. Mark Jackson will rejoin Mike Breen & Jeff Van Gundy for the rest of the NBA Playoffs. pic.twitter.com/1cziyUAH1i— ESPN (@espn) May 17, 2014
Jackson, who was recently fired as the head coach of the Golden State Warriors, has agreed to a multiyear deal to rejoin Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy as a part of the network's lead announcing team, according to the Associated Press.
Van Gundy used Jackson's catchphrase, "Mama, there goes that man," on a recent broadcast. Given that his name has surfaced in coaching rumors, it's somewhat surprising that Jackson himself will be using it again so soon.
