Chris Bosh says Carmelo Anthony joining Heat 'very, very unlikely'

Chris Bosh told the Miami Herald Thursday before Game 4 of the NBA Finals that the possiblity of Carmelo Anthony joining the Heat in free agency, as the Heat have reportedly targeted, is "very unlikely."

This isn't surprising. There are a lot of factors that go into this. Decisions have to be made by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh to all opt out. Then they all have to be willing to re-sign at a significant discount. Then Melo has to be willing to take a discount. That's a lot of money being given up by NBA players, something that doesn't happen very often. Still, if you'd asked the odds on if the Big 3 could team up back in 2010, Bosh might have said the same thing.

And also of note, not to go too far out here?

Unlikely is not the same thing as "not going to happen." Not even close.
