Forgotten Finals: 20th anniversary of O.J. chase, Rockets/Knicks

By Eye on Basketball staff

The San Antonio Spurs' rout of the Miami Heat in Game 5 ended the 2014 NBA Finals on Sunday night, just two days before the anniversary of another Game 5 that will live in infamy ... and semi-obscurity.

It was June 17, 1994 that the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks faced off in Game 5 of their series, an event chronicled in NBA Insider Ken Berger's long-form piece -- The Forgotten Finals.

If you missed the piece amid the daily drama of the 2014 NBA Playoffs, please do check it out. The full version of's original documentary chronicling the series and surrounding events (teaser above), including the slow-speed chase that captivated the nation, is available at the same link.
