Oklahoma City Thunder big man Nick Collison had successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, the team announced on Thursday. He is expected to miss four to six weeks "before returning to normal offseason activities."

The veteran averaged career lows of 4.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per game for the Thunder this season, but provided his typical brand of excellent defense. His playing time diminished further in the playoffs.

Collison is heading into the final season of his contract.
