Spurs' Marco Belinelli gets a tattoo to commemorate first NBA title

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

What would you do to celebrate an NBA championship if you won one? Some people would party for weeks or buy themselves a new expensive gift or go on an incredible vacation reserved for such a celebratory time. After the San Antonio Spurs won their fifth title with a 4-1 drubbing of the Miami Heat a couple weeks ago, Spurs' reserve guard Marco Belinelli decided to give himself a permanent reminder of the first time he became an NBA champion.

The Italian, seven-year veteran got a tattoo of the Larry O'Brien trophy with the date below it for the day he became a champion. It was his first season with the Spurs and he averaged 11.4 points on 48.5 percent shooting in 25.5 minutes per game. He also made 43.0 percent of his 3-point attempts to help stretch the floor for the Spurs. Here's the tattoo he posted on Instagram.

It's not quite as bold as Jason Terry tattooing the trophy on his arm before he became a champion, but it's still a nice reminder he was a part of such a successful team.
