LeBron James defaced on a mural of Heat team in Miami

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

When LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat in 2010, his Cavs jerseys were burned by fans and the city seemed to lose their mind as they dealt with their hometown hero leaving for South Beach. Things are much calmer in Miami with him leaving the beach for his home in Ohio, but that didn't stop fans from finding a way to deface something.

That something just happens to be LeBron's face on a team mural of the Heat that took over two years to create and finish. Black spray paint is covering what used to be LeBron's face on the mural. This calmer display of defiance is better than burning things, in theory, but it's still petty vandalism.

James led the Heat to four straight NBA Finals and won back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013.
