ESPN reports that the Boston Celtics along with the Timberwolves are interested in former Sixers and Pacers free agent Evan Turner.

Turner has fallen off a cliff since being drafted No. 2 overall in 2010 out of Ohio State. The Wolves were tied to interest in Turner last week. He averaged 14 points and five rebounds last season for the Sixers and Pacers, putting up big numbers for the tankathon Sixers and struggling to get on the floor for Indiana.

If you want a reason to possibly believe this could work, it comes down to this: Chauncey Billups. The idea is that sometimes players can bloom late as they learn more about how to play the game. That's the best case scenario here. But if the Celtics can add another wing for cheap, he might be worth a look.
