Rashard Lewis' 1-year deal is for the minimum. Mavs still have $2.7M exception.— Tim MacMahon (@espn_macmahon) July 16, 2014
Lewis averaged a career-low 4.5 points per game on 41.5 percent shooting for the Miami Heat last season, but he wound up starting eight games in the playoffs. The 34-year-old will help space the floor for a Mavericks team that, outside of Dirk Nowitzki, has a bunch of big men who lack range. He probably won't have a huge role, but he will be able to hit threes in a pinch.
