VIDEO: Spurs' Matt Bonner took the Larry O'Brien trophy home

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

In the NHL, team officials and players that win the Stanley Cup get to take around championship trophy to wherever they want. They've been known to take the trophy to some pretty wild places before that probably shouldn't be repeated here. But has anybody taken their championship trophy to New Hampshire?

Enter San Antonio Spurs' forward Matt Bonner. Bonner won his second championship with the Spurs in 2014 and is celebrating by taking the trophy home to Concord, New Hampshire to show his hometown. He went to his high school with the Larry O'Brien trophy; he also went to a music festival and presented the trophy to the governor of New Hampshire.

It will be fun to see if Tim Duncan takes it to Comic-Con next.
