The Sacramento Kings have signed Eric Moreland to a three-year deal, as first reported by Shams Charania of RealGM. The 6-foot-10 big man went undrafted out of Oregon State, but showed enough in summer league for Sacramento to want to invest in him. Moreland confirmed the news on Twitter:

In Las Vegas, Moreland averaged 3.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 19.2 minutes per game for the Kings. This is a team in desperate need of rim protection, so his skill set makes sense.

Sacramento will have to make decisions about its bench. The team has extended the deadline to guarantee forward Quincy Acy's contract to August 15, and it has reached an agreement with Omri Casspi. This puts the Kings just over the luxury-tax line, per ESPN, so it seems likely they will make another minor move or two before the beginning of the season.
