With Kevin Durant pulling out of Team USA and Paul George's injury, USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo said it's possible but not probable that Team USA could add players to its roster before the 2014 FIBA World Cup, via Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears:

While Colangelo said he isn't adding any players at the moment, that could change depending on what Krzyzewski wants.

"I've had a couple of calls," Colangelo told Yahoo Sports. "I know a couple agents are offering a good couple of their clients who could fit the bill. I'm going to be on the phones tonight. I was just talking with coach. I'm going to see what our deal is going to be.

"Probably it won't be anything other than we go forward. But don't rule out the possibility. …I really need to touch with Coach K so we can have a little discussion. We talked earlier, but because of these calls I wanted to discuss some things with him. As of now, I say no add-ons with a possibility."

There are 15 players left, and 12 of them will be making the trip to Spain. It's not like the current group will be lost without Durant and George -- Team USA should still be the overwhelming favorite -- but both of them were expected to switch between the small forward and power forward positions. Chandler Parsons is the only player on the roster you can really see doing that now. If someone like Kawhi Leonard or even Carmelo Anthony decided he wanted to participate, would USA Basketball turn him down?

Kevin Love withdrew from the team this summer because of his trade situation, which looks like it'll be officially resolved before the FIBA World Cup. Still, Colangelo said there are no plans to put Love back on the roster. Paul Millsap, who was cut earlier this week, would also make a lot of sense as a stretch four.
