Offseason: Free Agency | Latest from Ken Berger | Rumors

MarShon Brooks has reached an agreement on a contract with Olimpia Milano, the team announced. The shooting guard spent last season split between the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.

Brooks, the No. 25 pick in the 2011 draft, showed promise as a scorer in his rookie season. Since then, though, he has struggled to get consistent playing time. His Lakers stint at the end of last season was encouraging, as he shot 49 percent from the field and 58 percent from the 3-point line, but the sample size of 18 games was small.

The Indiana Pacers had the 25-year-old on their list of free-agent candidates after Paul George's injury, according to RealGM, but Brooks ended up going the overseas route. If he wants to get back to the NBA and make good on the potential he had coming out of Providence, he'll have to score efficiently and show commitment on the defensive end in Italy.
