The Bulls (2-1) pulled away in the third quarter with an 8-0 run. Leading 48-41, Kirk Hinrich and Thomas Gardner hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Tyrus Thomas followed with a dunk to give the Bulls a 56-41 lead with 6:52 left in the third quarter.
Gardner, who played professional ball in Belgium last season, has been starting in place of Ben Gordon, who has missed all three preseason games with a left ankle sprain. Gardner finished with eight points.
Washington forward Antawn Jamison sustained a mild left ankle sprain going for the ball near the sideline late in the first quarter and did not return. He was scoreless in 11 minutes on 0-for-7 shooting.
Gilbert Arenas finished with eight points in 22 minutes for Washington (3-1). He was 1-for-5 from the field and is shooting just 4-for-24 in the preseason after season-ending left knee surgery in April.
Rookie Nick Young led the Wizards with 16 points and fellow rookie Oleksiy Pecherov added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Thabo Sefolosha and Adrian Griffin missed their third consecutive preseason games for Chicago. Griffin was out with a sore lower back and Sefolosha has a right hamstring strain.
Forward Joe Smith made his Chicago debut and finished with seven points in 13 minutes. He missed the first two exhibition games with a sore right knee.
Washington coach Eddie Jordan gave Caron Butler and DeShawn Stevenson the night off.
