After suffering a scary neck injury Saturday night for the Detroit Pistons, Pistons.com reports that center Andre Drummond could miss the next two games despite tests coming back negative.

The Pistons are on the road in two tough places to play, Denver and Phoenix, with their playoff hopes all but extinguished. In fact, they now have a better chance of falling to eight or below after the lottery, which would allow them to keep their pick instead of sending it to Charlotte.

For Drummond, it's a tough end to what has been a tough season in his second year. Despite the Pistons' collective awfulness and clashes with the coaching staff, Drummond's had a good year individually at 13.1 points and 12.8 rebounds per game with a 22.4 PER. His missing time this week isn't a big deal and in reality, shutting him down for the year wouldn't be the worst idea, either. They need to keep that pick.

The big key, however, is that Drummond's not seriously hurt. That's the good news. Bumme to lose him for a few games, though.
