Anthony Bennett, the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, had his tonsils and adenoids removed at the Cleveland Clinic on Tuesday, the Cavaliers announced.

The procedures should not impact him nearly as much as his rotator cuff surgery did last summer; the team said that he would participate in summer league in Las Vegas.

Summer league will run from July 11 to July 21 at COX Pavillion and Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV, Bennett's alma mater, the NBA announced on Monday.
