Bobcats' Al Jefferson suffers sprained ankle against Heat
The newly signed Bobcats center suffered an apparent leg injury Friday against the Heat and had to be carried off the floor.
The Bobcats later announced Jefferson suffered a sprained right ankle, though initial reports from the game said it appeared to be a knee injury.
Via Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald, Jefferson looked "really hurt."
Jefferson, 28, signed with the Bobcats this summer as a free agent for $41 million over three years. He's battled knee injuries before, tearing his meniscus as a rookie and his right ACL during the 2008-09 season.
