Celtics acquire Bayless, Grizzlies get Lee in three-team deal

The Celtics, Thunder and Grizzlies completed a three-team deal officially on Tuesday that sent Courtney Lee to Memphis and Jerryd Bayless to Boston.

The Thunder's part in this? They sent Ryan Gomes to the Celtics for future conditional second round picks. And the Celtics immediately waived Gomes.

The Grizzlies total haul is Lee plus a 2016 second round pick and cash considerations from OKC. The Celtics receive Bayless and Gomes, and the Thunder receive a 2017 second round pick from the Grizzlies,

The Grizzlies are looking for some added perimeter shooting and scoring punch with Quincy Pondexter out for the season while the Celtics have coveted Bayless for a few years now. The Thunder's play here is to dump Gomes' non-guaranteed contract before it became guaranteed this week, to both free up a roster spot and about $900,000 more under the luxury tax threshold.

Lee, 28, is averaging 7.4 points on 49.2 percent shooting in 30 games this season.

Bayless, 25, is averaging 8.1 points and 2.1 assists in 31 games this season.
