The Los Angeles Clippers officially announced the signing of free agent forward Ronny Turiaf
The Los Angeles Clippers put the finishing touches on their offseason by adding some championship experience. Or something like that.
The Clippers announced the signing of free agent forward Ronny Turiaf on Friday. Turiaf, 29, was picked up by the Miami Heat during the 2011-12 season and played a bit part during Miami's run to the 2012 NBA title.
A 7-year NBA veteran, Turiaf's NBA career has also included stops with the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and Washington Wizards. A hustle forward known most for his celebrations on the bench, Turiaf holds career averages of 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game.
Turiaf will help fill the hole created by the departure of rebounding specialist Reggie Evans to the Brooklyn Nets.
The Clippers also signed guard Jamal Crawford, re-signed guard Chauncey Billups, signed forward Grant Hill and traded for forward Lamar Odom during a busy offseason.
