The dunk contestants were only announced a week ago, which doesn't give the players a lot of time to plan stuff. The players don't take it seriously. If they did and failed, it's embarrassing. Set the bar low, so to speak. But if you have no idea what you're doing, it can get bad. Gerald Wallace was much like that in 2010.
Now, Kenneth Faried might be headed for the same.
Either the spontaneousness will lead to great creativity or Faried's going to shrug-dunk. We'll see how this goes.
