Eye on Basketball Podcast: 2013 Lottery Mock Draft
Zach Harper and Matt Moore talk 2013 NBA Draft trade rumors and conduct their own mock draft for the lottery.
I'm joined by Matt Moore the day before the 2013 NBA Draft to do a little drafting of our own. We did a mock draft of the first 14 picks to measure how we feel about the certain team and player situations. Is Nerlens Noel really the center the Cleveland Cavaliers should take with the top pick? Which shooting guard should the Orlando Magic target with No. 2? Are Otto Porter and Alex Len what they're cracked up to be as prospects? And which team is going to be lucky enough to have C.J. McCollum fall into its lap?
During the mock draft, we tackle plenty of issues. Should the Charlotte Bobcats really look into moving Michael Kidd-Gilchrist? Is DeMarcus Cousins more of a power forward or a center for the Sacramento Kings? Should the Minnesota Timberwolves draft for best player available or the best fit for their roster? And what about the attempt the Cavaliers made to trade Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters and the first pick for Kevin Love?
We discuss all of this plus which role players we like throughout the rest of the draft.
This is music to Minnesota's ears
Gay and Divac are clearly not on the same page
The young dunk contest runner-up will start at small forward for Orlando
This is probably not the way to use this
They both had the same result so the realism is impressive
Nothing makes sense and everything makes sense at the same time
