Eye on Basketball Podcast: All-Stars and franchise value

Matt Moore and I are ready to go over our All-Star reserves and show our work on how we decided on our selections, which you can see here. How hard was it to come up with our reserves? Why didn't Marc Gasol make my roster? Why was Chris Bosh such a tricky selection? Should Al Horford make the team? And if we did away with voting, would Russell Westbrook be starting in the West next to Chris Paul?

This dovetails nicely into the latest Lakers season-reset button. With Dwight Howard saying the season starts now (only halfway into the season!), is there any way to take the Lakers seriously at this point? Is there one specific point of blame here, or does everybody deserve a slice? And how would you handle the situation?

We also discuss a breakdown of the Forbes NBA franchise value list and talk about the Boston Celtics' trade situation.
