Eye on Basketball Podcast: Bynum suspended, Westbrook hurt
Zach Harper and Matt Moore yell at each other over the Andrew Bynum suspension, talk about the Thunder without Russell Westbrook, and check in on the terrible East.
Matt Moore joins me for today's podcast as we get ready to wrap up 2013. Before we get to our New Year's resolutions on tomorrow's show, we end up arguing over the current state of Andrew Bynum and his standing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Bynum being suspended because of conduct detrimental to the team, what is the proper way to view the situation? Is it fair to say he doesn't put in the work? Is it acceptable if he doesn't care enough about his job as much as we want him to? Does his history of how he's handled injuries allow accusations to be thrown his way?
There is another injury to discuss. Russell Westbrook is out until after the All-Star break. How do the Oklahoma City Thunder handle his absence? Has Reggie Jackson improved enough to give you confidence in the team not really missing a beat? Is their bench deep and productive enough to keep things chugging along for the team with the best record in the NBA?
We discuss all of that, plus the New York basketball scene, weird Oreo flavors, and preview tonight's games.
