Eye on Basketball Podcast: Ethan Sherwood Strauss' right hand
Zach Harper and Ethan Sherwood Strauss discuss Andre Iguodala's defense, the Golden State Warriors, and shooting with the wrong hand.
To send you into the weekend, Ethan Sherwood Strauss joins me on the podcast today so that he and I can just throw accusations at one another and frame it around some basketball talk. After discussing the musical "Wicked" and Kyrie Irving's alleged appreciation of it, we get down and dirty into talk about Ethan's beloved Golden State Warriors. Should David Lee still be in the plans even though he was a selection for All-NBA Third Team last season? Are they just that much better playing small ball and is Andre Iguodala and his fantastic defense hinting at the idea of playing small? Can they be an elite defense with or without Lee?
There's also this idea Ethan has about Michael Beasley in which he wonders if Beasley is shooting with the correct hand. Is Beasley actually right-handed and hindering his potential on the court by using the wrong hand? Should he do what Tristan Thompson did and try switching hands to see if that makes a difference? Should all bad shooters start making the excuse of using the wrong hand?
We discuss all of this, plus which country is likely to dominate basketball in the future, horrible geography lessons, and the Bay Area.
