Eye on Basketball Podcast: Let's talk about preseason hoops
Zach Harper and Matt Moore talk about first looks at preseason basketball action, the situations the Chicago Bulls face, and the Lakers' plight.
There is actual basketball to talk about! Sure, it's preseason basketball so not a lot of it matters, if any, but it's still basketball. Matt Moore joins me to dig into first impressions from what we saw this weekend, starting with the Chicago Bulls and the preseason return of Derrick Rose. How did Rose look? Does he look like he has a lot of rust? Was he making the correct plays? How big is the fact that he wasn't sore the next day? Jimmy Butler also looked really strong and we discuss just how good he can become and whether or not Kawhi Leonard comparisons are legitimate.
The Los Angeles Lakers played a back-to-back, which is really dumb by the way, and we have the most "evidence" out of any team to analyze. How does it look with Nick Young taking shots? Do you want Chris Kaman taking jumpers? Did Pau Gasol look like he really cared about preseason? And most importantly, what does the news of Kobe Bryant getting another procedure in Germany mean for his chances of starting the season on the court?
