Eye on Basketball Podcast: Not acting like yourself
Zach Harper and Ethan Sherwood Strauss discuss Stephen Curry's shooting "slump", Carmelo Anthony's plight, and actors who act.
I'm joined by Ethan Sherwood Strauss today to go over Thursday night's fascinating action and the state of the Golden State Warriors. The New York Knicks were predictably beaten down by the Indiana Pacers, but Carmelo Anthony still managed to put forth a good effort. Should the Knicks free him and not re-sign him to his next big deal? Does his increased aggressiveness in the playoffs hurt the team or is it their only option? Should the combination of Melo and Amar'e Stoudemire have worked out in theory?
The Golden State Warriors just made a trade for Jordan Crawford in order to put some scoring punch in their bench unit. Will replacing Toney Douglas with Crawford cure their scoring issues with the reserves? Was Andre Iguodala's playmaking supposed to prevent those problems? Can Crawford prevent from being the player we saw before this season? How do we cure the shooting "slump" of Stephen Curry when he's still making 38.5 percent of his 3-pointers? What's with Harrison Barnes?
We discuss all of that, plus Lance Stephenson the All-Star, old blues musicians, and acting.
