Eye on Basketball Podcast: Previewing Conference finals
Zach Harper and Matt Moore preview the Heat-Pacers Eastern Conference finals, the Spurs-Thunder Western Conference finals, and offer up predictions.
Matt Moore joins me today to preview the Eastern Conference finals and the Western Conference finals. We start off out West where we have no idea what to make out of the series between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder. How do you judge this one and attempt to anticipate what goes on? Is Serge Ibaka's calf injury going to have an impact? How do the Spurs defend Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook? Did the Spurs miss open shots against the Thunder or did the Thunder's defense have a huge impact? Which match-ups do the Spurs have the advantage in?
Then we hop out East to talk about the Miami Heat matching up with the Indiana Pacers once again. Last year, the Heat torched the Pacers from outside, but didn't have that same success against them this season. How do they replicate that? How should the Pacers run their offensive attack? Who wins the match-up between Mario Chalmers and George Hill? Which bench will have a greater impact? Will that impact be positive or negative?
We discuss all of this, plus the Wizards' season, the Draft Combine, and Godzilla.
