Eye on Basketball Podcast: Spurs talk and Fast Six
Zach Harper is joined by Graydon Gordian to discuss the Spurs' appearance in the 2013 NBA Finals and then Trevor Hoff to discuss Fast Six.
We have two guests for this episode. The first guest is Graydon Gordian of the great San Antonio Spurs' blog 48 Minutes of Hell. He's here to talk about the Spurs and their road to the 2013 NBA Finals. After sweeping the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference finals, the San Antonio Spurs are resting up as they wait to see if their opponent will be the defending champion Miami Heat or the up-and-coming Indiana Pacers. So how do you stop the Spurs? Why is their offense so good? Is there a way to slow them down and which potential opponents poses the biggest obstacle?
After discussing the Spurs with Gordian, I bring on my friend Trevor Hoff to talk about Fast & Furious 6, which was recently released in theaters. Let me warn you that there are a lot of spoilers in this segment. We're both big fans of the Fast and Furious movie franchise, so we wanted to go over our thoughts on the movie and discuss why we enjoyed it so much. Is it the best of the six movies? Was it the best action movie we've ever seen? Are there ways to make it better and how good do we anticipate the seventh movie to be?
We discuss all of that, plus getting Pop'd by Gregg Popovich, Dwight Howard's shooting sleeve, and ranking all six of the Fast and Furious movies.
