Eye on Basketball Podcast: The final NBA Playoff push
Zach Harper and Matt Moore discuss the playoff scenarios for the Eastern Conference, the Western Conference, and preview tonight's games.
Matt Moore joins me on the podcast to review the entire playoff picture for both conferences. We start with the Eastern Conference, which basically belongs to the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers . Outside of that elite East tier, which teams have the best shot of getting into that 3-6 sweet spot that gives you a real chance at getting to the second round? Can the New York Knicks sneak past the Atlanta Hawks and would it be better if they did? Can the Charlotte Hornets get ahead of the Washington Wizards to avoid the 7-seed?
In the West, it looks like the San Antonio Spurs should be able to wrap up the top seed by staying ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder . How much do those fan bases hate each other? Can the Portland Trail Blazers or Golden State Warriors make it to the second round? Who ends up having the easiest and toughest road amongst the Memphis Grizzlies , Dallas Mavericks , and Phoenix Suns ? Would you rather see the Suns' young team make it or see Dirk Nowitzki get in one more time?
We discuss all of this, plus the NCAA tournament, Carmelo Anthony in April, and preview tonight's games.
