Eye on Basketball Podcast: The Lone Ranger
Zach Harper and Matt Moore discuss the Grizzlies' win over Kevin Durant, the Heat's dismantling of the Bulls, and this summer's movies.
No one player can do it all by themselves so I've got Matt Moore helping me discuss last night's action in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls were destroyed by the Miami Heat and you can feel the weight of all the injuries finally causing the Bulls to falter. With their blowout defeat, it's time to say goodbye to the Bulls, even if there is one game left. Should the Heat sit Dwyane Wade in Game 5 regardless of what happens in Game 4 between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers? Or is it important to play him and make sure you close out the series early to get everybody as much rest as possible.
With the Memphis Grizzlies' impressive win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, it looks like there simply isn't enough for Kevin Durant to do on a basketball court without a proper sidekick. Serge Ibaka finally showed up (for a half at least) and Kevin Martin got going, but it wasn't enough to combat the effort from Memphis' Big Three of Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, and Mike Conley. With the games in this series being so close, is it possible Durant will eventually bring his team to victory in the next game? Or do the Grizzlies have him spent by the time we get down to the end of the tight games?
We discuss all of this, plus look ahead to possible Western Conference matchups, preview tonight's action, and look ahead to this summer's movies.
