Eye on Basketball Podcast: Wizards injuries, more HOF hopefuls
Zach Harper and Matt Moore discuss the severity of the Washington Wizards' injuries and go over more Hall of Fame hopefuls for active and retired players.
Matt Moore joins me late today to go over the injuries that are already plaguing the Washington Wizards. We're less than two weeks away from training camp and the Wizards are already missing Emeka Okafor and Chris Singleton for a significant amount of time. The Wizards probably have the depth on the wings to survive whatever time Singleton misses but do they have the interior depth to survive Okafor's absence? Is Nene going to be healthy enough to help them survive? Can Kevin Seraphin step up so they don't lose playoff ground early?
Then we revisit the Hall of Fame hopefuls discussion we had on yesterday's podcast. We keep moving down the list of active greats and wonder if Deron Williams is on track to make it into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Did Chauncey Billups do enough in his career? Is Celtics' star Rajon Rondo likely to get the honor? Should Manu Ginobili be a lock? What about retired players like Chris Webber, Alonzo Mourning, and Mitch Richmond?
We discuss all of that, plus injuries, Twitter anger, and Kevin Garnett's skill set.
