GIFs: Two of the most hilarious 'defensive plays' you'll ever see

When two fast-paced, high-octane offenses like Denver and Houston meet up, defense is going to be hard to come by. With the Nuggets down one of their better perimeter defenders and so hard to stop on their own, especially at home, it's no wonder both teams put up huge offensive numbers Saturday night.

The Nuggets set their season high for points with 132, and a 124 offensive efficiency via To the Rockets' credit, they put a pretty stellar 108 offensive efficiency, they just couldn't stop Denver (or stop turning the ball over, something coach Kevin McHale brought up about nine times in his brief post-game comments).

And the Nuggets have really been a pretty good defenseive team lately. They had the fifth-best defense in the NBA since March 1 going into Saturday night's game, and the Rockets have slowly ticked their way up to middling.

I say all this to try to soften the blow of these two defensive plays. Because they are hilarious. First up, James Harden, with the Kyle Korver-patented approach of "turning your back to the play and cringing." Classic stuff here:

And then there's this Andre Miller attempt at transition defense. Now, let's be clear. There is absolutely nothing Miller can do to stop this play. And he knows it. But the fact that he literally runs in the opposite direction at the end had me in stitches Saturday night. Miller is old-man-game through and through. He's too old to be messing with trying to stop a guy that much bigger with two steps on him. Gonna get out of the highlight.

So again, OK defensive teams, really great players, but still, LOL.
