Heat say Beasley not injured by self-abuse
Heat says forward required compress treatment due to stray elbow, not from hitting himself in the face.
Michael Beasley told reporters Friday that the compress treatment he received on the sideline during Thursday's preseason game was not caused by him hitting himself.

Friday morning, video was released that shows Beasley hitting himself, but reporters indicated the clip doesn't show the extent of the self-abuse.
So maybe Beasley didn't injure himself weirdly beating upon himself. The fact that so many people went "Yup, sounds like Beasley" when they heard the story kind of tells you where he's at in people's minds.
