Kevin Garnett could miss 'four or five games' with ankle injury
Kevin Garnett could miss up'four or five games' or potentially up to three weeks with an ankle injury.
Kevin Garnett has been out the last few games with a foot and ankle injury. The injury was supposed to be minor and the Celtics listed him day-to-day. But on Monday, Doc Rivers revealed that the Celtics have sent Garnett for an MRI and that he expects that the All-Star could miss "four or five games."
Asked if KG is long-term worry, Doc said he does not believe it’s season-ending type injury, but could miss time.— Chris Forsberg (@ESPNForsberg) March 25, 2013
The Celtics have lost four straight, and while their playoff spot seems safe with their magic number to clinch a berth at just five, it's the wrong time to be sliding, especially with the possibility of having to face Miami in the first round.
Danny Ainge said the initial results weren't problematic and that KG would likely miss less than three weeks.
