LaVar Ball says Markelle Fultz 'ain't ready' for L.A., fits best with Celtics
The Lakers got the No. 2 pick in the lottery, and Lonzo's dad was fired up
When the 2017 NBA Draft Lottery was complete, and we knew the Los Angeles Lakers would not only be keeping their pick but moving up into the No. 2 slot, everyone knew who to get in touch with immediately: the world's foremost sports dad, LaVar Ball.
Ball, as always, did not disappoint, giving an incredible interview at his home, in which he claimed Markelle Fultz "ain't ready" for L.A., and said he spoke Lonzo going to the Lakers into existence.
His full comments below:
My reaction is how it's always gonna be...right! I told him he was gonna go to the Lakers. Ima speak it into existence. Boston gonna take their Markelle Fultz, he's a good player. I think he fits best with Boston. You can't bring him to L.A. He ain't ready for this. Only one person ready for this... that Ball boy! That Ball boy, number 2, the deuces wild.
Been working on this for a long time. I know I must be a genius to plan it this well. His number's always been number two, and guess where he's going? Number two, to the Lakers, baby. Here we come!
Say what you will about LaVar -- and I know people have things to say, I've seen the Tweets -- but there is certainly no one quite like him.
