When word came out this week that Warner Bros. had green lit a new Space Jam movie and officially signed a director, the next question was of course who would be in it. We had our own ideas for who should fill out the cast to join the Looney Tunes (and presumably, the Monstars) in the sequel to the '90s hit. However, the biggest question remains about the man who was first attached to the film in rumors: LeBron James

On Wednesday, James addressed the rumors surrounding his potential attachment to star in the film. Or, he kind of did. Via Fox Sports Ohio:

"I have a great team that handles my affairs off the floor, James said after shootaround. "Since I signed with Warner Bros. we've been looking to do some things and figure out some things that best fit both sides. But my team's handling that and I'm not going to take my focus off what my job is right now, which is handling the postseason right now. "

So that's a non-denial denial.

"I'm not focused on it" is not "I haven't signed anything" or "I'm not going to do it" or "Are you kidding me why would I possibly risk my cultural status on this kind of idea." So you can bet that there's a good chance James winds up being announced as the star of the sequel this summer.

For what it's worth, I wrote on 10 reasons why he should never, ever agree to star in the film last summer. James has played coy about potentially starring in the film for well over two years. He's continuing to do so as the studio will undoubtedly want to make a huge announcement with a press conference and Bugs Bunny in person at the event.

Also, when's the last time you heard of anything Looney Tunes-related that you wanted to watch? Or that your kids wanted to watch? Or any reason whatsoever that this movie seems like a good idea? Why would LeBron do this?

Oh, that's right.

Money.

Lots and lots of money.
