The news that Kyrie Irving suffered a fractured kneecap was a blow to the Cavaliers' chances in the NBA Finals, but Cleveland star LeBron James said - before knowing Irving was out for the series - that the team would bounce back from its Game 1 loss, per Cleveland.com.

"There are a few things that you would love to have going late in the season," James said Friday. "That's being healthy, having a great rhythm, and then you need a little luck as well. We've had a great rhythm. We haven't had much luck, and we haven't been healthy. But I haven't gotten discouraged."

James, who scored 44 points in Game 1, will have to shoulder the burden for the Cavaliers in Irving's absence.

"I'm excited to be in this moment once again, and I'm going to stay strong for my team, no matter who is or is not in the lineup," he said.
