LeBron James plays Thursday in protective mask against the Knicks
Heat star plans to play a week after a broken nose.
LeBron James is playing for the Miami Heat Thursday night in a protective mask for his broken nose, as Miami takes on the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Before the game, coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters:
Erik Spoelstra says LeBron went through walkthrough and anticipation is he plays, "So I would say in strong pencil."— Ira Winderman (@IraHeatBeat) February 27, 2014
James suffered the injury last Thursday vs. OKC when Serge Ibaka hit him in the face on a drive in which he dunked before falling and bleeding on the sideline. James had surgery last Friday to repair his nose, and missed Miami's game Sunday vs. Chicago.
