LeBron James praises Los Angeles Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram
The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up a 125-120 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night and one player on the Purple and Gold stuck out in a major way to All-Star forward LeBron James.
Following the final buzzer at the Staples Center, James met with the media and went out of his way to shower Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram with praise.
"Kid has a lot of talent. The more he plays, the more and more he is going to get more comfortable out there,” James said, according to Serena Winters of LakersNation.com. “He has the in between game, can handle the ball. He shot a couple long balls tonight and that worked for him too."
Los Angeles' front office clearly has high hopes for Ingram as the franchise refused to entertain the idea of trading the former Duke Blue Devils standout in order to add All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins to their roster.
With this sort of praise being heaped on the shoulders of Ingram from one of the best in the game today, the decision to not include him in any trade looks better and better for Los Angeles.
