LeBron, Wade, Chalmers and Allen to sit Friday against Charlotte
For a third straight game, Chris Bosh gets to be the guy in Miami. The Heat will rest LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers on Friday when they play the Bobcats. Ray Allen will also probably sit out.
For a third straight game, Chris Bosh gets to be the guy in Miami.
LeBron is resting a strained hamstring, Chalmers and Wade are recovering from ankle injuries and Allen sprained his ankle Tuesday against the Knicks.
All four are listed as day-to-day.
Friday's game against the Bobcats was picked up by national TV as it was set to be Miami's chance at a 32nd straight win. The game dropped for it? Thunder-Pacers. So to recap: A game featuring the Thunder and Pacers has now been substituted for a Heat-Bobcats game that doesn't even have LeBron or Wade. Oh, boy!
The Heat already have the top seed in the East well locked up and are basically resting and preparing for the postseason. The injuries might very well be real for the Heat players, but even the most minor things are going to get treated as big things because this is a chance to get as healthy as possible.
After their win streak ended against the Bulls, the Heat have rested players against the Spurs and Knicks. They went 1-1 in those games.
Following Friday's game, the Heat next play Saturday against the 76ers.
