NBA Daily Picks: Maniac Monday
Picks against the spread for Monday, December 2nd, 2013 including Pelicans-Bulls, Rockets-Jazz, and Blazers-Pacers.
Weekend results: Since the last time we checked in before the Holiday, I'm on a 29-12 run. Knocking down shots, playing solid defense, even hitting a few heat checks. Really feel like the team's coming together. PS: Fade the Knicks forever.
Sunday: 7-1 YTD: 135-105-5
LOCK IT UP
Utah's played better but they're catching Houston at the wrong time. The Rockets have hit their stride, James Harden looks healthy, and the Jazz don't have a lot of weapons on the perimeter defensively. You have to like Houston's chances here.
DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER
GAME: Pacers at Blazers
FAVORITE: Pacers (-1.5)
PICK: STAY AWAY
Double back-to-backs with the best team in the league vs. one of the best offenses in the league, no major injuries on either team. Enjoy this game. But keep your wallet away from it.
Hey, Good Lookin'
Against all odds, the Wizards have been playing better without Bradley Beal. This line's just low enough to make Washington attractive. Orlando has struggled on the road and the Magic don't have the defensive sets to stop John Wall.
I've Got a Bad Feeling About This
Pelicans on the road on a back to back without Anthony Davis. Bulls without Derrick Rose after getting clobbered by Cleveland. You can't predict either of these teams or how they'll react, especially with a seven-point spread. Nope, nope nope.
Houston advances, and San Antonio is set up to follow suit after its Game 5 win

Harden didn't play great, no one could shoot, and the Rockets still rolled to a 4-1 series...
The Cavs and Warriors have both swept their first-round opponents
