NBA playoffs first-round expert picks

Our NBA experts reveal their picks for the 2013 NBA playoffs' first-round series. Beneath each pick, you'll find our confidence meter.

The confidence meter reflects an estimation of how confident we are in the selection of winning team and number of games. So, for instance, Matt Moore is 80 percent confident the Heat will win in four games, but 98 percent confident the Heat will win the series overall.

In other words, a low confidence does not reflect a lack of confidence in the winning team necessarily, only a low level of confidence in that specific pick (i.e. Knicks in five).
