Nuggets hire Pelicans' executive Tim Connelly as GM
The Denver Nuggets have hired Tim Connelly, 36, to be the GM of the team. He previously worked for the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Denver Nuggets have a lot of questions surrounding the organization. After not matching the deal 2013 Executive of the Year Masai Ujiri received to go run the Toronto Raptors and then firing the 2013 Coach of the Year in George Karl because he was going to be unhappy as a lame duck coach this season, it's fair to question the direction the team is headed in after the best regular season in franchise history.
At least we may finally know who will shape the roster. Ken Berger of CBSSports.com is confirming that the Nuggets have hired Connelly to build the roster moving forward.

Minnesota Timberwolves president Flip Saunders was trying to hire Tim Connelly to join him in the front office after replacing David Kahn this offseason.
Connelly is the third executive in his 30s to be hired to run a team in the past year. Last offseason, the Orlando Magic hired 30-year old Rob Hennigan to be their new GM. In May, the Phoenix Suns hired 33-year old Ryan McDonough from the Boston Celtics to be the general manager during their rebuilding process.
