Nuggets' Ty Lawson has hearing delayed until September

Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson was arrested along with his girlfriend Ashley Pettiford for a domestic violence incident on Saturday following an alleged fight between the two in their own home.

According to the Associated Press, the initial hearing in the case was postponed on Friday until September in order to give more time for an investigation into the incident. 

An initial hearing in the domestic violence case against Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson is being delayed until September.

Prosecutors asked for the postponement on Friday to give them more time to investigate.

The reported charges brought against Lawson were for physical harassment and criminal mischief. He was released on $1,000 bond following the arrest.
