Report: '90 percent chance' the Clippers sign Lamar Odom
No other teams interested in troubled forward after summer filled with rumors of drug abuse.
Bleacher Report reports that there's a "90 percent chance" that Lamar Odom signs with the Los Angeles Clippers, especially since no other team is interested in the embattled free agent.
Source close to Lamar Odom: He's doing well & wants to stay in LA. 90% chance he signs w/ LAC; no timetable yet. No other teams in the mix.— Jared Zwerling (@JaredZwerling) November 18, 2013
Odom has been a free agent since last year, after rumors and reports of drug abuse became rampant over the summer. The Clippers met with Odom on Friday. He was arrested in late August on DUI charges and reportedly received treatment after.
The Clippers could use the extra forward, but you do have to wonder what kind of shape Odom is in and how log it might take him to get into game-condition.
Odom played last season for the Clippers appearing in all 82 games averaging 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds.
