The Oregonian reports that Brandon Roy will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee this week, which will keep him out at least a week. It will be the (deep breath) seventh knee surgery for Roy in his career.

Roy returned from retirement this summer and signed the Wolves. The early returns were poor, then turned worst. He banged knees in the final preseason game and hasn't been the same since. Or at least, the same compared to his preseason self. He left the game on November 9th with soreness in his knee

Roy wasn't supposed to even make it this far. It's just athroscopic surgery, nothing major. It's just such a bad sign for a player whose body simply will not cut a break.
