The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the few teams left who still have fill their open coaching position, but they're taking their time and doing their due diligence in finding the next leader on the sidelines. With the Cavs looking to turn a young roster that will add the top pick in a loaded 2014 NBA Draft class into a playoff team next season, they want to make sure they're not going to end up wasting more money on a coach like they just did with Mike Brown's contract.
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the next coaching candidate to be interviewed for the job is former Cavs' point guard Mark Price. Price is currently an assistant coach on Steve Clifford's staff with the Charlotte Hornets.

Price spent the first nine years of a 12-year career as the point guard for the Cavs. He averaged 16.4 points and 7.2 assists in those nine seasons leading the Cavs, and had one of the deadliest jumpers and shooting strokes the league has ever seen. He was a four-time All-Star, made the All-NBA Third Team three times, and the All-NBA First Team once as a member of the Cavs.
After his playing career ended in 1998, Price spent part of the next eight years as a high school, college, and international coach. He returned to the NBA, this time as an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets in 2007-08, before spending two years with the Atlanta Hawks, one year with the Golden State Warriors, and one year with the Orlando Magic all as an assistant coach, respectively. He's been on the Hornets' staff since 2013.
