Report: Kendrick Perkins to miss two games after grandfather's passing
Thunder center Kendrick Perkins will miss the team's next two games after a death in the family.
Perkins will return to Texas to be with his family and will miss the Thunder's games against the Clippers and Warriors, but is expected to return when the team closes out its three-game road trip in Milwaukee.
Rookie Steven Adams could step into Perkins' starting role as he's assumed full control of the Thunder's backup center spot, and has even cut into Perkins' minutes. Though veteran Nick Collison could also be in play for Scott Brooks to replace Perkins.
Perkins, 29, is averaging 3.0 points and 3.8 rebounds in 18.3 minutes.
