Kevin Durant is meeting with teams in The Hamptons on Long Island, but that doesn't mean he's thinking of a move to New York. The superstar free agent does not plan on talking to the New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets, even though the Knicks are trying to set up an informal meeting while he's nearby, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

"He's represented by Roc Nation, which is run by Jay Z," Wojnarowski said on The Vertical's free agency special on Friday. "Sources tell me that Jay Z really pushed his people to try to convince Kevin to meet with Brooklyn, meet with the Knicks. And he hasn't done it. And it speaks to how serious-minded Kevin is about this process that it's about winning."

Durant's intentions are obvious. He's meeting with loaded teams like the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. The Los Angeles Clippers want to sell him on being a part of a "Big 4." Reports indicate he's meeting with the Boston Celtics under the impression that they have the ability to land another impact player. The Knicks, Nets and Los Angeles Clippers offer big markets, but no immediate chance of competing for a title. It makes sense that Jay Z and Roc Nation's priorities might be different.
