Report: Kings offer Chris Mullin a consulting job next to D'Alessandro
The Sacramento Kings continue to renovate their front office and are reportedly offering former Warriors GM Chris Mullin a consulting job with the team.
The Sacramento Kings have been revamping the entire organization since Vivek Ranadive and friends purchased the team from the Maloof family. They've gotten rid of various members of the front office, Geoff Petrie, and the coaching staff. They brought in Mike Malone from the Golden State Warriors' coaching staff to be the coach, and they brought in former Denver Nuggets' executive Pete D'Alessandro to be the new general manager.
Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee is reporting that the Kings have offered a contract to former Warriors player and former Warriors general manager Chris Mullin to be a consultant in the front office to Pete D'Alessandro.

D'Alessandro and Mullin worked together in the Warriors organization from 2004 to 2008. With Malone, D'Alessandro, Ranadive (former part-owner of the Warriors until his purchase of the Kings), and possibly Mullin, the Kings organization really seems to be trying to create Warriors 2.0 in Sacramento. Considering the Warriors exploded onto the basketball scene this past season, it's not a bad plan of attack to execute.
